Why Cheap Wines Diary?
This blog was started as a reference point for me. If it helps you I’m glad, but really I was looking for a way to record my thoughts about wines I purchase. My wife, the lovely and talented Kathy, loves to try new wines but doesn’t relish popping $30+ a bottle. At that rate, our wine bill would be higher than our mortgage. So we usually look for wines in the $9-$20 per bottle range. There are some surprisingly good (and bad) wines available in that price range.
We are not wine snobs, nor are we connoisseurs. We just like a good bottle with dinner or to unwind with at night. We don’t pretend to be able to tell you a good wine from a bad wine, all we are trying to do is remember which wines we liked to drink.
