Little Black Dress Merlot

“Oh! I like this one.” – the lovely and talented Kathy

I try to avoid words like “fun” when describing wines. Honestly, if you drink enough of any wine it’s fun…until you pass the point of no return. Then it’s not so fun anymore. So I will say instead that I enjoy drinking this wine. It has a pleasant taste, not bitter at all and the aftertaste lingers just long enough so you remember it fondly – like an old love; not so long that it gets stale and makes you bitter – like in-laws.

Most wines in the low end are not refined enough so that you can taste the individual flavors but Little Black Dress Merlot is an exception. I can taste hints of black cherry that really set it off. This is a good find and will be a regular in the wine cellar at our house.

By the way, their website www.littleblackdresswines.com IS fun. :) Always nice to see a company not take themselves too seriously.

  1. You have the bottle staged next to a coffee cup and in front of a monitor, it appears. I hope this is not your assigned sampling station. The simile for stale kind of made my afternoon.

No, the coffee cup is just for decoration. :) All sampling of the wines is done in my over-stuffed recliner. (I like my chairs to match my body)
